“The Feti archaeological site was obviously
the central settlement of a complex society,
and given the existence of large kingdoms on the plateau later on and the presence of royal emblems on the site, it was probably the capital of the kingdom. The bells recall the three cow-
bells “in brass” and the ancestral bow which were among the most revered emblems of king-
ship in Bailundu. The story about the bow that had been taken from Feti recalls this most sacred emblem of Bailundu: the bow of its founder.”

On the site, objects such as iron arrowheads, copper bows and a sculpture of a dog, 400 hoes, hammers and knives were found. The work evokes the myth of the hunter king.

“O sítio arqueológico do Féti era obviamente o povoado central de uma sociedade complexa, e, considerando a posterior existência de grandes reinos no planalto, e a presença de emblemas reais no sítio arqueológico, foi provavelmente a capital do reino. Os três chocalhos e um arco de latão, que eram grandes emblemas de realeza
a par do poder mágico em Bailundo, recordam
os sinos encontrados em Féti. A estória sobre o arco que havia sido tirado de Féti lembra o mais sagrado emblema de Bailundo: o arco do seu fundador”.

No sítio, foram encontrados objectos como pontas de flechas em ferro, arcos em cobre e uma escultura de um cão, 400 enxadas, martelos e facas. A obra evoca o mito do rei caçador.
