O Cardume 2010
II Trienal de Luanda 2010

In the triptych which was produced for the
II Trienal de Luanda 2010, this artwork refers
to the element of water, even though the sound of the 50 medusas moving in the wind evoke also to the element air.

A swarm or a school of 50 medusas create a beautiful moving surface which floats in the
air. One side white, the other side fire red. Any moment in time the piece changes its shape—
as life itself. When they float in front of a very blue sky its like the inversion of the sea.

The shoal in form of floating medusas is an hommage to the ancestors souls who might have lost their lives in the ocean.
